I liked it. Though if you check my photos on Flickr you will notice that I mainly kept to the "back streets", not the main roads.
The last photo in this post was take on Hyde Park Street at the entrance to Clarendon Mews, and if you keep to those places then it is more "English" - if there is such a thing.

Btw. what is the Hungarian equivalent of Mews?

Policemen setting examples here? Hahaha... That's wishful thinking :P

Oh, and you should check out Maroush. Definitely the best Arabic food you'll get from a restaurant, let me tell you. They're kebabs are to die for!

But, apart from everything else, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. :)

Glad you found the trip tolerable. London can probably be called a super city in that much like New York, Beijing etc is almost not representative of the host country and almost exists as a small country on its own. My Australian partner hated London on first viewing and dismissed it as dirty, expensive and overcrowded , and felt that Bath was more the sort of city that London should have been though that view has now softened. London seems to have cranes permanently working on something along with other building works so London seems to be permanently a 'work in progress'.

Ah, I know it's normal that people cross when the lights are red.
Police Officers on the other hand should not. I think they should make sure the rules and law are observed, no? Setting example and all. :)

I have not checked McDonalds, I am not a big fan of them - although I fill my car at Shell, and then when I have no money I can eat from my Smartcard thingy -, so maybe they had WiFi, I am not sure.

I did not know about Edgware road, first time in London, England at all, so it all was pretty new to me. Next time though I will know where to go if I want a good kebab :)

Tehe. Don't worry - the tube lines are ALWAYS under construction. Literally, very few days pass when something isn't being worked on.

Edgeware road is very Arabic, truly. It's known for being so. They do have the most delicious of restaurants, mind you. Sorry about your b&b. You should try Travel Inn. Pretty cheap, basic but nice hotel rooms. And they're everywhere.

It seems weird to me that you noticed people crossing when the lights were red; everybody does that, surely? If not, that it is most definitely the norm over here.

Also, I believe, but am not certain, McDonalds have free WiFi? You should ask Rammi, she'll know.
