Ok, so I bought my new mobile, and then, I bought a adapter cable for it.

I found it hilarious that they had to check which kind of cable do I need for my phone (CA-42). Not so funny that it actually does not work. Phone is ok, Nokia PC Suite is ok, I can connect through infra, so it must be the cable.

Anyway, someone tell me, why do I need a different cable for different phones? Are they using different 1s and 0s? Or is it just a way to make me spend more money? I suspect it’s the latter, and I find it not cool. I buy a phone for a load of money, then I have to buy new cables – not cheap either -, and new headset – of course, it HAS to work differently, I mean all those different 1s and 0s – and so on.

I bought a new mobile phone. The old one, a Samsung was getting on my nerves. It seemed a nice one when I bought it, it was cheap and all, but it turned out to be a useless design. Uncomfortable, missing features, the ones it had worked in an awkward way and so on. After a bit more than one year, I decided to change it.

I initially wanted a Blackberry Pearl, unfortunately it is not possible to buy it in the country. At least I could not find anyone who sells it.

The next wish was the N95 from Nokia, but it’s insanely expensive – I will NOT pay 950 USD for a mobilephone -, so I ended up with a Nokia 6070.

It has a calendar, sensible menu, can make phone calls, SMS and the installed games includes Snake. Plus, it has an FM radio, so I love it.

Now, after all that started the problems. I actually tried to connect it to my laptop. I gone to the shop, bought the proper cable – at least, the people at the shop swore it is – and it… does not work.. Figures..

I finally made it to work through infra, but it is slow, and I found that there is not much that I can do with it. Saving SMS and contacts. that’s all.

One thing though, if the phone can’t connect through the infra, the first thing to do is lower the speed to the lowest possible. Somehow, it can’t take the default speed.
